Erik J. Nuveen

Dr. Erik J. Nuveen, MD, DMD, FAACS, is a triple board-certified cosmetic surgeon and the founder of Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 2100 NW 63rd Street, with a second location in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in 1967 in Philadelphia alongside his twin brother, he was raised in a medical family (father in orthodontic residency at the University of Pennsylvania, mother a dental hygienist). He attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (DMD), completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency beginning at UCLA Harbor Medical Center and finishing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (where he also earned his MD in 2001), did an additional year in general surgery at Hershey Penn State Medical Center, and completed a formal fellowship in General and Facial Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City. In total, he completed 14 years of post-college training. He is triple board certified in General Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS, 2013), Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS, 2007), and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2006). He first purchased Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in 2003 and has shaped it into one of the largest cosmetic surgery practices of its kind in the entire country, with over 26,000 major cosmetic surgeries performed since 2003 (currently over 1,500 per year). He is the Founder and co-CEO of Olympus Cosmetic Group, focused on consolidating elective surgery practices throughout the United States. He is an accredited fellowship director and actively participates in residency education at the University of Oklahoma Health Center. He has published 10 textbook chapters and 28 first-author publications. He is affiliated with Northwest Surgical Hospital. He works alongside Dr. Courtney Caplin (his wife, who joined in 2016) and Dr. Andrew Sohn. His passion areas are massive weight loss management and facial restoration. He has 62 patient reviews.
