6a. Verification Evidence & Re-Verify Requests

When a provider uploads a license, diploma, certification, or other credential document for EAG Verified, we store two copies: an original (accessible only to the provider and our admins) and a watermarked, public-display copy (visible on the provider’s public page). Both copies are retained while the provider account is active and for up to twelve (12) months after the credential is replaced or the badge is revoked, so we can honor challenges and audits. Providers may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

When a member of the public submits a re-verify request via a verified provider’s public page, we store: the provider identifier being challenged; a salted SHA-256 fingerprint of the submitter’s IP address (used only for rate-limiting — we do not store the raw IP); the optional email address the submitter voluntarily provides; and the optional free-text reason. Re-verify request records are automatically deleted 90 days after submission. Submitter emails are never shared with the challenged provider.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You may also have the right to opt out of certain data processing activities. 8. Children's Privacy
