Alison R. Tendler

Dr. Alison R. Tendler, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist, oculoplastic surgeon, and the owner and creator of ART Vision and ARTisan Skin and Laser Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Dr. Tendler is a South Dakota native who grew up in Clear Lake and Sioux Falls. She attended medical school at the University of South Dakota, where she graduated with honors and earned a Doctorate in Medical Physiology. She completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by a corneal and anterior fellowship with Dr. Michael Belin at the Cornea Consultants of Albany at Albany Medical College in New York. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

She opened her own facility on July 1, 2019. She serves as an Associate Professor for the Sanford School of Medicine and holds a board membership at Dakota Wesleyan University. She previously served as the advertising spokeswoman for Restasis. Using her dual expertise as a refractive and oculoplastic surgeon, she created ARTisan Skin and Laser Center as an extension of her vision practice, providing aesthetic treatments under one roof.
