Catalina Ruiz

Catalina Ruiz, MS, RN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder and Practice Coordinator of Lapiel Laser Center in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, established in 2003. She earned her bachelor's degree from DePaul University and her master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has over 35 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and over 20 years leading Lapiel. She co-founded the practice with her sister, Maria Victoria Ruiz, MD, who serves as Medical Director. Lapiel operates out of the same building where their father practiced medicine for over 40 years, continuing a family medical legacy. The practice grew from a small Lincoln Park space to a full-service medspa in Lakeview, with 141 Yelp reviews and a reputation as one of Chicago's most trusted laser providers. All services are performed by experienced Nurse Practitioners. She specializes in laser hair removal, Botox, laser skin rejuvenation, SkinPen microneedling, DiamondGlow, Glytone chemical peels, and clinical skincare.
