D. Scott Karempelis

Dr. D. Scott Karempelis, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and a founding partner at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta since 1989, where he serves as the Medical Director of the Laser Institute of Georgia, which houses 18 medical lasers. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed his internship at LaCrosse Luther Hospital/Gundersen Clinic, and his dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He became board-certified in 1985 and has over 40 years of experience. He is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. He speaks English and Spanish. He specializes in cosmetic laser treatments, Mohs micrographic surgery, tattoo removal, facial injectables, rosacea treatment, skin rejuvenation, and body contouring.
