Dean E. Sorensen

Dr. Dean E. Sorensen, MD, FACS, is a double board-certified plastic and general surgeon and the owner of Sorensen Cosmetic Surgery Center in Boise, Idaho. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho and his MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, where he received the Stritch Award as the outstanding graduating senior. He completed general surgery training in California and at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, then served as a naval officer in Vietnam with the Third Marine Division. After practicing surgery in Idaho for 16 years, he completed a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Utah Medical Center and a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Miami, Florida. He formerly served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Idaho State Board of Medicine and the Idaho State Board of Medical Discipline. He is past president of the Ada County Medical Society and received the A.H. Robins Award as Physician of the Year from the Idaho Medical Association. He is a retired Colonel in the Idaho Air National Guard, where he served as the Idaho State Air Surgeon. He is a member of ASPS and the Aesthetic Society.
