Ilya Leyngold

Dr. Ilya Leyngold, MD, is an internationally renowned, board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon and co-founder of the Leyngold Institute for Plastic Surgery in Meridian, Idaho, alongside his twin brother Dr. Mark Leyngold. He earned his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins, and pursued a two-year ASOPRS-accredited oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship in Salt Lake City under Dr. Richard L. Anderson. He previously served as Chief of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at the University of South Florida and as an Associate Professor at Duke University before opening his private practice in Idaho's Treasure Valley. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has performed over 15,000 cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid and facial procedures and has been invited to teach at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Duke. He is a pioneer in corneal neurotization surgery and edited the world's only textbook on the subject. He has published over 80 research papers and book chapters. He speaks Russian and was named one of the Top 10 professionals under 40 by South Tampa Magazine.
