Francisco G. Colón

Dr. Francisco G. Colon, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in private practice with The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery in Florham Park, New Jersey. Born in Puerto Rico, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis (Dean's List 1980-1982) and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his plastic surgery training and fellowship at Harvard Medical School before joining The Peer Group in 1995. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Morris County Medical Society. He has served as Chief of the Section of Plastic Surgery at Morristown Medical Center. He is affiliated with Morristown Medical Center (Atlantic Health System) and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. He has a special interest in facial rejuvenation, including facelifts, eyelid lifts, brow lifts, neck lifts, and injectable wrinkle treatments, and is regarded as a top plastic surgeon for facial rejuvenation in New Jersey. He has been named a Top Plastic Surgeon in the New York Metro Area by Castle Connolly and one of America's Top Surgeons by the Consumer's Research Council of America. He received the 2013 Diamond Ball Honoree Award for Medical Excellence in Breast Cancer Reconstruction from the American Cancer Society. He has volunteered as a surgeon on medical missions to Thailand, Peru, and the Philippines to help children with congenital deformities and women with breast cancer. He has published research on blepharoplasty history and pediatric hand tumors. The Peer Group has offices in Florham Park and Somerville with an onsite AAAASF-accredited surgical facility.
