James B. Lowe

Dr. James B. Lowe III, MD, FACS, is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Lowe Plastic Surgery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 2520 Northwest Expressway. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, he attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, earning a BA in history and pre-medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1992, completed five years of general surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and his plastic surgery residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (1997-1999). He also completed a hand, nerve, and microsurgical fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (1999-2000) and an MBA in Health from Washington University (2000-2002). He opened his private practice in August 2006 and moved to a state-of-the-art facility in 2010. He spent many years training other surgeons as medical faculty at Washington University School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is affiliated with INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center, Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, and INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital. He has over 20 years of experience, and about 80 percent of his patients come for cosmetic surgery. His practice features a fully accredited on-site surgical center with private overnight rooms. He has published numerous medical articles and book chapters on topics including abdominal wall reconstruction, nerve surgery, and facial rejuvenation.
