Jayne Fortson

Dr. Jayne Fortson, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist and the founder of Fortson Dermatology & Skin Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska. She is Anchorage's only physician dual board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, and is recognized as Alaska's most highly trained cosmetic skin expert. Dr. Fortson graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in 1981, where she was selected as the featured graduation speaker. She was subsequently awarded a National Institutes of Health grant in dermatological research and completed a year of research at the University of Utah. She completed her dermatology residency at Wright State University and her dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. A resident of Alaska since 1990, Dr. Fortson has built the Fortson Center into one of the state's most technologically advanced destinations for skin care and body shaping. She personally performs or oversees all dermatology and cosmetic treatments. Her aesthetic services include Botox, dermal fillers, Secret RF microneedling, Laser Genesis, Excel V and HR laser treatments, fractional skin resurfacing, IPL photofacials, laser hair removal, PicoSure laser tattoo removal, truSculpt iD and flex body sculpting, Ultherapy skin tightening, and medical-grade skincare. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology and speaks English and French. She is affiliated with Providence Alaska Medical Center.
