John Binlam

Dr. John Q. Binhlam, MD, FAAD, FASMS, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, and the founder of Advanced Skin and Laser Center and Binhlam Aesthetics, located at 1649 Westgate Circle, Suite 100, Brentwood, Tennessee 37027. He founded the practice in 1998.

Dr. Binhlam is a native of Kentucky. He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Computer Science and Mathematics, then pursued medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Indiana University and returned to Vanderbilt University for his subspecialty residency in Medical and Surgical Dermatology. He has been practicing for 27 years.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery. He has served as past-President of the Nashville Dermatology Society, the Tennessee Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the national American Society of Mohs Surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, and the American Society for Contact Dermatitis. He has been named Best Dermatologist in Nashville by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine for 12 consecutive years.

He specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, including Mohs surgery for skin cancer, cosmetic injectables, and advanced laser treatments.
