John S. Aker

Dr. John S. Aker, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of My Plastic Surgery Group (Aker Aesthetics) in Carmel, Indiana, where he has practiced since 1996. He earned his BS in Chemistry and Biology from Canisius College, his MD from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine, completed surgical residencies including at Penn State, and an aesthetic fellowship at NYU focused on facial cosmetic procedures. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has been recognized as an Indianapolis Monthly "Top Doc" for body and facial plastic surgery for 17 years. He graduated high school at the age of 14 and received the Westinghouse Science Talent Search award. He brought several new techniques to Indianapolis including endoscopic breast augmentation, Asian eyelid surgery, and drainless abdominoplasty. His practice holds Allergan Black Diamond status. He is also an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed 14 Ironman triathlons including the World Championship in Hawaii, and an award-winning photographer. He has participated in medical missions to Haiti, India (where he met Mother Teresa), Panama, and Peru. He specializes in facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, body lifts, Morpheus8, Botox, and dermal fillers.
