Lauren Doughty-McDonald

Dr. Lauren Doughty-McDonald, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at the Dermatology Clinic of Iowa in Cedar Rapids, which has served the community for over 30 years. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and her MD from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (2004). She completed her dermatology residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has over 22 years of experience. She previously practiced at ProHealth Care Medical Associates in Wisconsin before joining the Dermatology Clinic of Iowa in 2012. She has published research in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, including work on dermatomyositis and pityriasis rubra pilaris. She is affiliated with UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital, Mercy Medical Center Cedar Rapids, and University of Iowa Health Care. She specializes in general medical and surgical dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, cosmetic dermatology, laser treatments, and sees patients of all ages.
