Meegan Gruber

Dr. Meegan Gruber, MD, PhD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Gruber Plastic Surgery in Tampa, Florida. She graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a double major in Molecular Biology and Ethnic Studies and a minor in Fine Art, then earned both her MD and PhD in Biochemistry through the University of Illinois Medical Scholars Program. She completed her combined general and plastic surgery residency at Washington University. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of ASPS, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, and was named a Newsweek Best Plastic Surgeon in America in 2025. She is the star of the TLC television series "Awake Surgery" and is a pioneer of awake plastic surgery techniques using local anesthesia. She previously practiced for 12 years in Portland, Oregon before returning to Florida. She specializes in awake liposuction, tummy tucks, facelifts, breast surgery, and body contouring.
