Robert Fischer

Dr. Robert Fischer, MD, is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon at Southside Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 720 West 71st Street South. He offers the Tulsa community his expertise in Mohs surgery, cosmetic reconstruction, and the surgical treatment of skin cancer. He is an expert in treating basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma through Mohs Micrographic Surgery, the most effective treatment available for skin cancer lesions. He specializes in repairing skin lesions post-surgery, including cosmetic reconstruction following the procedure. A scientist at heart, he received his bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering, graduating summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University and conducting research for NASA. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at the Boston University-affiliated Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He then completed a highly competitive fellowship in Mohs and dermatologic surgery through the American College of Mohs Surgery at Boston University-Roger Williams Medical Center. He co-owns Southside Dermatology with Dr. Alison Fischer. The practice oversees laser treatments administered by the aesthetic team.
