Stanley A. Okoro

Dr. Stanley A. Okoro, MD, FACS, is a double board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of Georgia Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Marietta, Georgia, with international practice locations in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. Born and raised in Orlu, Nigeria, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of the District of Columbia and graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College. He completed a five-year surgical residency at Emory University, then served in the U.S. Navy as Chief of General Surgery at Naval Hospital Great Lakes. He completed an additional three-year plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, then returned to active duty, achieving the rank of Commander and serving as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, where he treated combat casualties from Iraq and Afghanistan and pioneered microvascular breast reconstruction. He also served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University. He is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is the current President of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is the founder of the Georgia Plastic Foundation and organizes twice-yearly volunteer surgical missions to developing countries. He specializes in breast augmentation, Brazilian butt lifts, tummy tucks, facelifts, and body contouring.
