Dr. Stephanie E. Smith-Phillips, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Mt. Pleasant Dermatology, located at 570 Long Point Road, Suite 200, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464. She established the practice in 1985 and has over 45 years of experience in dermatology.

Dr. Smith-Phillips earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina, Columbia (1976), and her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine (1980). She completed her dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Dermatology (1982–1985).

Under her leadership, Mt. Pleasant Dermatology has grown from a single exam room to a practice staffed by four board-certified dermatologists, a nurse practitioner, a dermatopathologist, and more than 30 employees. The practice is affiliated with Roper Hospital, Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, and MUSC Medical Center, and is a SkinCeuticals partner practice.
