Amer Nassar

Dr. Amer Nassar, MD, is a double board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Nassar Plastic Surgery, practicing at Mat-Su Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Palmer, Alaska. He is recognized as one of the premier plastic surgeons in Alaska, offering cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body to patients across the state. Dr. Nassar received his medical degree from Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, one of the top surgical training programs in the country. He then completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Harvard Medical School — Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. His training encompasses the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures including breast reconstruction and augmentation, facelifts, rhinoplasty, body contouring, and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. Nassar is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has published research in respected medical journals, including in JAMA Surgery, and has presented at numerous conferences. Beyond his medical practice, he is the co-founder and former executive director of Beauty for Freedom, a nonprofit organization fighting sex trafficking worldwide. He is affiliated with Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and serves patients from Anchorage, Kenai, Palmer, Wasilla, and surrounding communities.
