Amy K. Alderman

Dr. Amy K. Alderman, MD, FACS, MPH, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at North Atlanta Plastic Surgery in Alpharetta, Georgia, which she co-founded with board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Aida Joiner. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham-Southern College (where she was also an Academic All-American in tennis), then graduated as valedictorian of her medical school class at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning early membership in Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan and earned a Master of Public Health in Clinical Health Services Research. She serves as a Director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and chairs its Ethics Committee, one of the most prestigious positions in the profession. She is an oral examiner for the ABPS, past president of the UMichigan Plastic Surgery Alumni Association, and past vice president of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. She has given over 200 presentations, published over 75 articles, and contributed to more than 10 textbooks. She specializes in breast augmentation, mommy makeovers, tummy tucks, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation.
