Barry DiBernardo

Dr. Barry DiBernardo, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of New Jersey Plastic Surgery in Montclair, New Jersey, where he has been in private practice since 1991. He graduated from Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell) in 1984, receiving the Charles H. Horn Prize for outstanding leadership and service to the medical community. He completed five years of general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach and a two-year plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received the Leo M. Davidoff Award for teaching distinction. He has over 40 years of experience. He served as President of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons (2005-2006) and President of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (2017-2018). He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and an Associate Clinical Professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He is also the director of the New Jersey Clinical Research Center. He was named one of the Top 24 Beauty Doctors in the country by Harper's Bazaar Magazine and Top Plastic Surgeon, Eastern United States by Aesthetic Everything (2016). He is recognized globally as a leading innovator in light and energy-based aesthetics, sought out by device manufacturers as a consultant to help develop new treatments and technologies from concept through clinical trials. He also serves on advisory boards for leading skincare, injectable, and technology companies worldwide. He is a widely published author with extensive research on laser technology, radiofrequency skin tightening, Renuvion helium plasma, and electromagnetic body contouring. He has been a professional landscape photographer for over 50 years. He practices alongside Dr. Matthew Trovato. The practice at 29 Park Street features an onsite AAAASF-accredited surgical facility.
