About Caroline A. Chang

Dr. Caroline A. Chang, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder and President of the Rhode Island Dermatology Institute (RIDI) in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, at 5586 Post Road, Suite 6. She graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Art and Archaeology (Classical Archaeology, 1998-2002), spent two years conducting melanoma research at New York University Medical Center establishing a comprehensive melanoma patient database, then earned her MD from New York University School of Medicine (2008). In 2018, she founded RIDI as the first direct care dermatology practice in Rhode Island, removing insurance companies from the equation to restore the doctor-patient relationship. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology (since 2012), an associate staff member at Rhode Island Hospital, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Rhode Island Dermatology Society, and the Rhode Island Medical Women's Association. She serves on the Review Board for Prevention Magazine. She has earned awards from Providence Business News (Woman to Watch in Healthcare, 2020).
