Catherine Lucas

Dr. Catherine Lucas, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Alabama Dermatology Associates in Northport, Alabama. She provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services, with expertise in skin cancer detection and treatment, cosmetic treatments, and medical-grade skincare. Born and raised in the small town of Quitman, Louisiana, Dr. Lucas graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Louisiana Tech University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine, also graduating summa cum laude, from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed an internal medicine internship at the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, where she was named Intern of the Year in 2003. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006 and remained at UAB as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. Dr. Lucas has practiced dermatology in Denver, Colorado, and Jackson, Tennessee, where she was named Best Dermatologist in the 2014 Jackson Sun Readers' Choice Awards. She joined Alabama Dermatology Associates in late 2014. Dr. Lucas is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is affiliated with DCH Regional Medical Center and the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.
