Porcia Bradford Love

Dr. Porcia Bradford Love, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of River Region Dermatology and Laser in Montgomery, Alabama. Her practice provides comprehensive medical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology services to central Alabama, with specialty interests in acne, hair loss, cosmetic and laser surgery, and skin of color. A native of Montgomery, Dr. Love graduated as class salutatorian from the LAMP Program at Sidney Lanier High School, where she has since been inducted into the LAMP Hall of Fame. She attended the University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biology. During her undergraduate years, she received both the Bloom and Sullivan Premier Awards, which are given to the top junior and senior, respectively, at the University of Alabama, and was recognized as the National Alumni Association Student of the Year. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine in 2005 and completed her dermatology residency at Duke. She also completed a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where her research focused on skin cancer in young women and minority populations. Dr. Love is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where she mentors resident physicians and medical students. She is the co-editor of the textbook Clinical Cases in Skin of Color and is a frequent contributor in the Montgomery Advertiser, WSFA, and WAKA on dermatology topics. She was named a 2018 "Woman Who Shapes the State" by AL.com and the Birmingham Media Group. She serves as President of the Capital City Medical Society and is a board member of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Baptist Health Foundation. Her practice offers aesthetic services including CoolSculpting body contouring, Restylane and other dermal fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, and microneedling.
