Erin Ducharme

Dr. Erin Ducharme, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon, and the founder of Ducharme Dermatology and Brightside Aesthetics in Clive, Iowa. She earned her MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, completed her internship at New York University, and her dermatology residency at Texas A&M (Baylor Scott & White) in Temple, Texas, where she received extensive Mohs surgical training under a founder of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She served as the 2019-2020 President of the Iowa Dermatological Society and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She previously served as Chief Dermatologist at the VA in Des Moines and set up and ran the Dermatology practice at The Iowa Clinic. Originally from southern Iowa, she opened Ducharme Dermatology in 2018 and Brightside Aesthetics in 2023 to provide dermatologist-overseen aesthetic care. She has published research in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. Her practice team includes PA Amy Eschweiler (20+ years dermatologic experience) and multiple aestheticians. She has 19 years of experience and specializes in medical dermatology, Mohs surgery, Emface, Exion, IPL phototherapy, chemical peels, microneedling, body sculpting, laser hair removal, and injectables.
