Fredric Stern

Dr. Fredric A. Stern, MD, FACS, is a facial plastic surgeon and the founder and Medical Director of The Stern Center for Aesthetic Surgery, located at 1370 116th Avenue NE, Suite 102, Bellevue, Washington 98004.

Dr. Stern earned his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons (1981). He completed a medical internship at the University of Washington (1981–1982) and earned his Board Certification in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington (1984–1987), with extensive additional training in ophthalmic plastic and laser facial surgery. In 1987, he joined Virginia Mason Medical Center, where he headed the Department of Ophthalmology and served as Director of the Oculoplastic Surgery Division for 10 years. He founded The Stern Center in 1997/1998 in Bellevue. In 2001, he trained with Dr. Jeffrey Klein, inventor of tumescent liposuction, and the same year The Stern Center became the first surgical practice in the Northwest to be accredited by the Joint Commission.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He was selected as one of the initial Instructors for the Botox Cosmetic National Education Faculty, the Radiesse Medical Education Faculty, and is a Sciton Laser instructor. He has been repeatedly voted Best Cosmetic Surgeon by 425 Magazine and Bellevue Lifestyle Magazine. He has over 25 years of cosmetic and laser experience and 45 years in medicine. He has made numerous TV appearances on Northwest Afternoon, Evening Magazine, KOMO, KIRO, and Q13 News. He is also a published novelist and founded Noviello Vineyards in 2014.
