Isaac Starker

Dr. Isaac Starker, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery in Florham Park, New Jersey, where he has practiced his entire career at one of the nation's original plastic surgery centers (founded by pioneering surgeon Dr. Lyndon Peer in the 1930s). He grew up in New York City, the son of a commercial artist. He earned his BA cum laude from New York University (Founder's Day Award, Dean's List, Beta Lambda Sigma Honor Society) and his MD from NYU School of Medicine, where he received the Glover C. Arnold Award for excellence in Surgery. He completed a general surgery residency at The Roosevelt Hospital (St. Luke's-Roosevelt, now Mount Sinai West) where he served as Chief Resident, and a plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, again serving as Chief Resident. He was honored as one of America's Best Plastic Surgeons for 2024 by Newsweek, an accolade reserved for only 150 doctors nationwide. He served as President of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons (2006-2007), President of the Medical Staff of Morristown Memorial Hospital (2008-2009), and a member of the Board of Trustees of Atlantic Health System (2008-2010). He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Morristown Medical Center, where he has also served as Chief of the Plastic Surgery Section. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has been named an NJ Monthly Top Doctor (1996-2018), a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the NY Metro Area (1999-2021), and a Best Doctor by Best Doctors Inc. (2001-2014). He participated in a Healing the Children mission to Nairobi, Kenya. He has published research on blood supply to intrinsic hand muscles and has 33 patient ratings on US News.
