Justin Leitenberger

Dr. Justin J. Leitenberger, MD, is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Surgery and the Co-Director of Dermatologic Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Department of Dermatology, Laser and Cosmetic Center in Portland, Oregon, located in the Center for Health and Healing 1, 5th floor. He is board-certified in both Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School at Houston, where he received the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship Award at UT Southwestern. He completed his dermatology residency at OHSU (2009-2012) and his Mohs fellowship at OHSU (2012-2013). He specializes in skin cancer surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery and subsequent reconstruction, with advanced training in laser and cosmetic surgery including laser skin resurfacing, scar revision, and injectable fillers and neurotoxins. He also serves as Associate Program Director for the ACGME-accredited Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed original articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and has given over 70 national and international presentations. He is regularly invited to speak at the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is the current president of the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative. He was named a Regional Top Doctor in 2014.
