Kamran Khoobehi

Dr. Kamran Khoobehi, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, pioneer in fat grafting, clinical professor, and a leader in the field of plastic surgery with offices in Metairie and New Orleans, Louisiana, and a satellite location in Beverly Hills, California. Originally from Iran, he left home at 18 and traveled through Eastern and Western Europe before coming to the United States. He earned his MD from St. Louis University School of Medicine (1990), completed a 5-year general surgery residency at LSU Charity Hospital/Medical Center of Louisiana, and a 2-year plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at LSU (1997). He serves as Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center and Director of Training for aesthetic students at LSU. He offers a one-year cosmetic fellowship in his private practice to train residents. He made medical history as the first surgeon in the world to successfully reconnect the network of tiny blood vessels in the eyelid during a reattachment surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center, a story featured on CNN and USA Today. He is one of the few plastic surgeons in the region to perform DIEP flap breast reconstruction. His practice features an AAAHC in-office surgical suite. He is a member of ASPS and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He specializes in facelifts under local anesthesia, breast augmentation, breast lifts with fat transfer, DIEP flap reconstruction, tummy tucks, liposuction, fat grafting, blepharoplasty, endoscopic forehead lifts, laser resurfacing, SmartLipo, Botox, and dermal fillers.
