Karen L. Beasley

Dr. Karen L. Beasley, MD, is a board-certified cosmetic and medical dermatologist and a partner at the Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin & Vein Institute (MDLSV) in Cockeysville, Maryland. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Maryland and earned her MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Eugene Bereston Award for Excellence in Dermatology. She completed an internal medicine internship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and a three-year dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She joined MDLSV in 2000 and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she instructs dermatology residents. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the AAD, ASDS, and ASLMS. She speaks Korean and Russian. She is one of the most experienced dermatologic surgeons in non-surgical cosmetic procedures and has helped facilitate FDA approval for many popular cosmetic and dermatologic treatments. She co-authored the authoritative textbook "Sclerotherapy and Vein Treatment" and has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. She volunteers for skin cancer awareness programs through the Women's Dermatologic Society, ASDS, and AAD. She specializes in laser skin rejuvenation, Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Radiesse), Kybella, RF microneedling, sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, photodynamic therapy, body sculpting, and skin cancer screening.
