Karen Whitney

Karen M. Whitney, PA-C, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures and laser treatments at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, at 3805 Edwards Road, Suite 100. She has been Board Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants since 1976 and has specialized in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures including facial injectables, light-based treatments, tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation, and the evaluation and treatment of leg veins for over 22 years. The first 20 years of her career were devoted to primary care and women's health. She has performed more than 200,000 sclerotherapy treatments since 1996 and facial injectables since 2002. As a top national 250 injector of Botox and Juvederm, she was selected to participate with the Allergan Medical Institute as a National Injector Trainer, making her part of an elite group of only 210 injectors across the US chosen for this program. She joined Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center in 2014. She stays at the forefront of cutting-edge vein treatments by attending annual meetings held by the American College of Phlebology and the Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She works alongside facial plastic surgeon and medical director Dr. Jon E. Mendelsohn, FACS; plastic surgeon Dr. Joel P. Maier, FACS; DNP Hope Merz, CNP (cosmetic and medical dermatology); and NP Kati. The practice is AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) surgery center accredited.
