About Kyle Farr

Kyle Farr, DNP, MSN, NP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, national aesthetic trainer, and the founder of Kyle Farr Aesthetics + Wellness in Plymouth, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Madonna University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Oakland University, making him one of a relatively small number of aesthetic injectors in the country who have earned the terminal degree in nursing practice.

Kyle is a Michigan native who spent the first stretch of his career in clinical healthcare before pivoting to aesthetics full time. He started in 2014 by renting a single salon suite on a week-to-week basis, injecting neurotoxins and dermal filler as a side practice. That side practice grew organically into one of the most recognized medical spas in the Metro Detroit area. He now operates two locations in downtown Plymouth, including his flagship practice at 807 Penniman Avenue and a second space at 640 Starkweather Street, where he also runs his training academy.

His clinical work centers on injectable aesthetics, laser treatments, skincare, and body contouring. He specializes in facial harmonization and full-face balancing, building treatment plans around each patient's individual anatomy rather than applying a one-size-fits-all protocol. His approach leans toward natural-looking results, and he has built a loyal patient base in the Plymouth, Northville, Canton, and greater Detroit communities through a consultative style that prioritizes education and transparency over upselling.

Where Kyle separates himself from most injectors is in the training and education space. He is a member of the Galderma GAIN GenNOW Faculty, where he trains other providers across the country on advanced aesthetic techniques and product education. He is a GurU Educator and Trainer for Revance Aesthetics and has held roles with Evolus as well. He speaks at national conferences including The Aesthetic Show and has served on faculty with programs like The Aesthetic Immersion. He also runs private small-group training sessions out of his Plymouth office for clinicians looking to build or sharpen their injectable skills.

He formalized that training commitment by founding the Detroit Aesthetics Academy, a hands-on certification program for RNs, NPs, PAs, MDs, and dentists looking to enter or advance in medical aesthetics. The academy offers neurotoxin, dermal filler, and advanced injection courses in an intentionally small-group format, capping enrollment to ensure direct mentorship rather than lecture-hall learning. His students have gone on to build their own aesthetic practices, and multiple testimonials cite his willingness to share not just clinical technique but the operational knowledge of how to build a sustainable aesthetic business from scratch.

Kyle trained under several of the most recognized names in cosmetic injection, including Mauricio de Maio, Arthur Swift, Simon Ourian, and Shino Bay Aguilera. He continues to invest in ongoing education throughout the year and has made that philosophy a core part of both his personal brand and his practice culture.

He also hosts The Aesthetically Honest Podcast, a show built around bringing transparency to the aesthetics industry for both patients and practitioners. Episodes cover everything from treatment education and pre/post care to the realities of running a medical spa as a nurse practitioner.

His practice offers neurotoxins, dermal fillers, biostimulators, BBL BroadBand Light therapy, HydraFacial, Geneo oxygenation treatments, laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, skincare consultations, and intimate wellness services. He carries SkinBetter Science and Alastin skincare lines.

Kyle lives in the Plymouth, Michigan area. When he is not treating patients or training other providers, he spends his time with his family.
