Laurie A. Casas

Dr. Laurie A. Casas, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Casas Plastic Surgery in Glenview, Illinois. She earned her BS from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana (Phi Beta Kappa, 1978) and her MD from Northwestern University Medical School (1982), where she also completed her general surgery and plastic surgery residencies, serving as Chief Resident. She completed three additional fellowships: in cosmetic surgery of the face and body at NYU with Dr. Thomas Rees, in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery at St. Joseph Hospital/Emory with Dr. Carl Hartrampf, and in microsurgery at Southern Illinois University. She is a Clinical Professor of Surgery in the Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Medicine. She was the first female president of The Aesthetic Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for The Aesthetic Society (ASAPS). She is a National Spokesperson for both ASAPS and ASPS and serves as the breast section clinical editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. She has co-authored a textbook on aesthetic breast surgery and published over 40 peer-reviewed articles. She has been named a Castle Connolly Top Plastic Surgeon and one of the Exceptional Women in Medicine. She has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Cosmopolitan. She specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body.
