Mark B. Taylor

Dr. Mark B. Taylor, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Gateway Aesthetic Institute and Laser Center, located at 650 South Main Street, Suite 100, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.

Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from the University of Utah. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Oregon and is board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology. He has over 35 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. He founded Gateway Aesthetic Institute in 1997.

Gateway is the largest dedicated cosmetic laser center in the world, with over 60 lasers and more than a dozen energy devices. He has been a pioneer in the field of cosmetic laser surgery since its origination, developing and teaching new laser techniques to over 4,000 physicians worldwide. He was the first doctor in the world to use the Krypton and VeinLase lasers for vascular and pigmented lesion treatment. He invented the Taylor Liberator, a novel acne scar subcision instrument. He developed a groundbreaking combined acne scar treatment method achieving 70%+ improvement in a single session, which he presented at the International Masters Course on Aging Skin in Paris. He directs an ASDS Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship with current fellows. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

In 2015, he founded the Gateway Emerging Technologies Medical Clinic for functional wellness medicine and FDA-monitored clinical research. He co-founded SkinCareRx.com (sold 2013) and is the inventor of the NuCelle and M2 skincare lines and COSMION products. He has locations in Salt Lake City with a retail skincare store called Apothica.
