Michael Sotiriou

Dr. Michael C. Sotiriou, MD, is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon and the lead physician at Salt Lake Dermatology & Aesthetics, located at 250 East 300 South, Suite 120, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111.

Dr. Sotiriou is a Salt Lake City native. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine (2014). He completed a medical-surgical internship at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and his dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was elected by peers and faculty to serve as Chief Resident. He holds sub-specialty board certification in Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery from the American Board of Dermatology. He received additional Mohs training under Dr. Aleksandar Krunic and Dr. JC Lapiere in Chicago.

After residency, he joined Dermatology + Aesthetics in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, a premier cosmetic practice affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and part of the Northwestern Medicine Physician Network, where he practiced for three years. He returned to Salt Lake City to continue the family practice originally founded by his father, Dr. Leo Sotiriou, in 1981. He is affiliated with Intermountain Health LDS Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital–Salt Lake.
