Patrick O'Neill

Dr. Patrick J. O'Neill, MD, is a double board-certified plastic surgeon at O'Neill Plastic Surgery in Daniel Island (Charleston), South Carolina, at 245 Seven Farms Drive, established in 2009. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with an additional sub-certification in hand and microsurgery. He received his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, completed nine years of residency training including a full general surgery residency (1991-1997) and plastic surgery residency (1997-1999) at MUSC, and a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky (1999-2000). He began working as an attending surgeon at MUSC in 2000 and continues to work and teach there as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery. He has been voted Charleston's Best Plastic Surgeon by City Paper voters for 11 consecutive years. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is affiliated with Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, East Cooper Medical Center, MUSC Health University Medical Center, and Roper Hospital. He practices alongside Dr. Jennifer Dixon Swartz. He has published on wound healing complications in bariatric patients undergoing panniculectomy.
