Russell Kridel

Dr. Russell W. Kridel, MD, FACS, is a triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon and co-founder of Facial Plastic Surgery Associates (FPSA), located at 6655 Travis Street, Suite 900, Houston, Texas 77030.

Dr. Kridel graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (1975) and completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is triple board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He has over 50 years of experience. He is affiliated with Houston Methodist Hospital and Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center.

He served as President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, President of the Texas Medical Association Foundation, President of the Harris County Medical Society, and Chair of the Board of Trustees for the American Medical Association. He serves as Clinical Professor and Director of the Division of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in Houston. He directs an AAFPRS Fellowship Program.

He is recognized by peers as one of the top 5 facial plastic surgeons in the United States. He pioneered rhinoplasty techniques now taught in medical schools nationwide and is the foremost expert in septal perforation repair surgery with a better than 98% success rate. He has published over 250 scientific journal articles and textbook chapters and has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for over 20 years. He has received the F. Mark Rafaty Award and the William K. Wright Award from the AAFPRS. He has appeared on the CBS Early Show and in national publications. He established The Face Foundation charitable program in 1995.
