Rod J. Rohrich

Dr. Rod J. Rohrich, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a founding partner of the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, located at 9101 North Central Expressway, Suite 600, Dallas, Texas 75225.

Dr. Rohrich trained at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Michigan, Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, and Oxford University. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and a Distinguished Teaching Professor and founding Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

He served as President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, President of the Association of Academic Chairs of Plastic Surgery, founding President of The Rhinoplasty Society, President of the Dallas and Texas Societies of Plastic Surgeons, Chair of the Plastic Surgery Residency Review Committee (ACGME), and Director/Chair of the Oral Exam of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was named one of the 10 most influential plastic surgeons of the current era in Annals of Plastic Surgery (2014). Newsweek ranked him #1 Best Plastic Surgeon in the U.S. for rhinoplasty and facelift surgery from 2021 to 2024.

He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is founding Editor of PRS Global Open. He has authored over 1,000 peer-reviewed articles, 50+ textbook chapters, and eight textbooks including the Dallas Rhinoplasty series. He chairs the Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting. He has appeared on Oprah, The View, and Good Morning America. He has been a Texas Monthly Super Doctor from 2005 to 2024. He founded the Alliance in Reconstructive Surgery (AiRS) and the Rod J. Rohrich Foundation.
