Shelby K. Brantley Jr.

Dr. Shelby K. Brantley Jr., MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the founder of BOA Plastic Surgery (Brantley Operative Aesthetics) in Flowood, Mississippi, where he shares a facility with Dr. Dev ManiSundaram at Body and Face Plastic Surgery. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi, Dr. Brantley earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1987. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, followed by a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, finishing in 1994. During his fellowship, he participated in basic and clinical science research that resulted in multiple award-winning national presentations and published articles on silicone immunology and ultraviolet light exposure. Dr. Brantley is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Lipoplasty Society of North America. With over 31 years of experience and more than 25,000 procedures performed, he has authored more than 50 articles and abstracts for medical journals. He specializes in breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, abdominoplasty, body contouring, facelift, fat grafting, and hand surgery.
