Shim Ching

Dr. Shim Ching, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Asia Pacific Plastic Surgery in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned his undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, his MD from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and completed his plastic surgery residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He then pursued fellowships at some of the world's most prestigious centers, including Clinica Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro, the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco (hand surgery and microsurgery), and the Plastic Surgery Center of the Pacific in Honolulu (cosmetic surgery of the Asian face and breast). He has been named one of the Best Doctors in America since 2011 (top 5% nationally), a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2016, and has earned first place in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser People's Choice Awards since 2013. He received the Gaspar W. Anastasi Award from ASAPS. He is also a visiting surgeon to the Middle East, bringing his expertise to Kuwait, the UAE, and Qatar. He specializes in breast augmentation, facelifts, rhinoplasty, Asian eyelid surgery, hair transplants, and body contouring.
