Sue Ellen Cox

Dr. Sue Ellen Cox, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon, master injector, laser specialist, and the founding Medical Director and President of Aesthetic Solutions in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at 5821 Farrington Road. She is an internationally recognized expert in facial rejuvenation using lasers, injectable fillers, and neuromodulators, with over 25 years of practice in cosmetic dermatology. She graduated Cum Laude from New York University and earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, serving as co-chief resident. She has been in practice for 29 years and is affiliated with UNC Hospitals. She is a pioneering thought-leader who helped shape the field of aesthetic dermatology when it barely existed. She lectures internationally, directs national workshops, and teaches cosmetic dermatology clinic to residents at UNC School of Medicine and Duke University Medical Center. She has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and received the Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine Award (2023-2025). She was featured in Vogue magazine's August 2023 issue celebrating Influential Women. Aesthetic Solutions has been named Best of Chapel Hill for Best Cosmetic Dermatologist for eight consecutive years. The practice is an active research center. She has 11,000 Instagram followers and 43 US News reviews. All injectors at the practice are board-certified dermatologists.
