Susan MacLennan

Dr. Susan E. MacLennan, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Mountain Lake Plastic Surgery, located at 105 Westview Road, Suite 120, Colchester, Vermont 05446.

Dr. MacLennan grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. She graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and earned her medical degree from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (1994). She completed a general surgery residency (1994–1997) and a plastic surgery residency (1997–2000) at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, followed by a mini-fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Miami. She has over 30 years of experience.

She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and serves as an Examiner for the Board's Oral Exam. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Vermont's only member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (The Aesthetic Society). She spent 15 years on the faculty of the UVM College of Medicine. She is affiliated with Copley Hospital, Northwestern Medical Center, and Green Mountain Surgery Center. Mountain Lake Plastic Surgery is the only private plastic surgery practice in Vermont. She co-practices with Dr. Alexandra Schmidt.
