York Yates

Dr. York J. Yates, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing at Tanner Clinic in Layton, Utah, serving the greater Salt Lake City area.

Dr. Yates is a native of Davis County, Utah. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Utah, graduating at the top of his class. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed six years of postgraduate plastic surgery training at the University of Missouri, including a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery and a fellowship in microsurgery. He has been in practice since 2003 and has performed over 10,000 major procedures.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (The Aesthetic Society). He is affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital–Davis. His practice has consistently ranked in the top 5 in the U.S. in numbers of breast implants placed by manufacturer Sientra (ranking #1, #2, and #5 for a solo-physician practice from 2014–2020). He was the first plastic surgeon in Utah authorized to offer the Ideal Implant.
