Barbara Bopp

Dr. Barbara Bopp, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic dermatologist with over 25 years of experience at Bopp Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery in Metairie, Louisiana, a practice she co-founded in 1991 with her husband, facial plastic surgeon Dr. Felix Bopp. She grew up in Chicago and attended Newcomb College of Tulane University before earning her MD from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency (1986-1988) followed by a four-year residency in general dermatology and cosmetic dermatological surgery at Tulane (1988-1992). She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Her practice offers a unique combination of board-certified dermatology and board-certified facial plastic surgery under one roof. The team includes a nurse practitioner with Cleveland Clinic experience, a PA, laser technicians (including one who has performed over 2,000 CoolSculpting treatments), and multiple aestheticians. The practice is the only one in Louisiana to offer EXOMIND brain stimulation therapy. She takes a holistic approach, believing the whole person needs to be addressed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
