Franklin Johnson Jr.

Dr. Franklin R. Johnson Jr., MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of LA Derm Laser & Cosmetic (Louisiana Dermatology Associates) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with additional offices in Gonzales, Denham Springs, Central, and Brusly. A Baton Rouge native, he graduated from LSU and earned his MD from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans (1994), where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed an internal medicine internship at Earl K. Long Medical Center and his dermatology residency at LSU School of Medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has been practicing in Baton Rouge since 1998, accumulating over 30 years of medical experience. He is a specialist in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is a published researcher and an active member of national and state medical communities. His practice includes PAs, nurse practitioners, licensed aestheticians, and certified laser technicians. He participates in foreign mission trips through his church. He specializes in medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, skin cancer screening and treatment, laser treatments, Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and medical-grade skincare.
