Ben Talei

Dr. Ben Talei, MD, is a dual board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the founder of the Beverly Hills Center for Plastic & Laser Surgery in Beverly Hills, California. He is one of only a few surgeons in the country to have completed two separate fellowships in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, making him among the most extensively fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeons in the United States. Dr. Talei completed his undergraduate education at UCLA and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the UC San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his residency in head and neck surgery at Columbia University and Cornell University Medical Centers at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident, and also trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He then completed his first fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the New York Center for Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery under Dr. Andrew Jacono, while simultaneously serving as voluntary faculty for residents at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. His second fellowship was at the Vascular Birthmark Institute of New York under Dr. Milton Waner at Lenox Hill Hospital, specializing in vascular birthmarks, congenital anomalies, and pediatric facial plastic surgery. Dr. Talei is dual board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is on staff at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He serves as an International Professor of facial plastic surgery at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. He has authored numerous publications and textbook chapters on advanced facelifting techniques and revision rhinoplasty, and surgeons from around the world visit his center regularly to learn his techniques. He developed the SMART Lift (Superior Movement and Repositioning Throughout Lift), a modified extended deep plane facelifting technique. He specializes in deep plane facelifts, rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, lip lifts, neck lifts, Mohs reconstruction, vascular birthmark treatment, and non-surgical rejuvenation including Profound RF. He has been featured on E! News, FOX News, and NBC, and was honored by the Beverly Hills Mayor and City Council for his charitable work, including founding the Drive Against Domestic Violence and raising significant funds for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
