David Goldberg

Dr. David J. Goldberg, MD, JD, is a board-certified dermatologist and Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Clinical Research at Schweiger Dermatology Group, recognized nationally and internationally for his innovative work with skin lasers, cosmetic dermatology, and noninvasive facial and body rejuvenation techniques. He earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New York University Medical Center, and also graduated from Fordham University School of Law, where he taught Health Care Law for 20 years. He has been in practice since 1985. He is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and former Director of Mohs Surgery and Laser Research there. He served as President and Chairman of both the Ethics and International Committees of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He was the first-ever recipient of the ASLMS Leon Goldman Award, named after the founder of laser surgery. He is past Chair of the Ethics Committee of both the American Academy of Dermatology and ASLMS, a member of the AAD Board of Directors, and Secretary to the Board of Directors of ASDS. He was named one of the Top Ten Laser Surgeons in the US by Self magazine and one of the Best Doctors in America by Woodward/White. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is author or editor of 15 books on laser dermatology topics. He serves as Senior Chief Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy and sits on the editorial boards of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery. He co-authored two consumer books: Light Years Younger and Secrets of Great Skin. In 2020, he merged his three-office practice (Skin Laser and Surgery Specialists of NY and NJ) with Schweiger Dermatology Group. He directs an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship with affiliated sites in Hackensack NJ, Hillsborough NJ, Livingston NJ, and 110 East 55th Street, New York. Services include laser skin rejuvenation, Mohs surgery, laser hair removal, Botox, dermal fillers, CoolSculpting, skin tightening, and treatment for acne, rosacea, photodamage, and skin cancer.
