David M. Ozog

Dr. David M. Ozog, MD, FAAD, FACMS, is the Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan, overseeing one of the largest dermatology programs in the United States with over 30 dermatologists and 21 residents. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (James B. Angell Scholar, 4.0 GPA) and his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha). He completed his dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology at UCLA and the Moy-Fincher Medical Group in Beverly Hills. His career has centered on improving wound healing, minimizing scarring, and understanding skin regeneration, pioneering treatments that combine traditional surgical techniques with fractional lasers, photobiomodulation, and laser-assisted drug delivery. He has authored over 60 publications and serves as Assistant Editor for Dermatologic Surgery and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and on the editorial board of JAAD. He serves on the boards of both ASDS and ASLMS. He has mentored over 200 medical students, residents, and fellows. He was named Teacher of the Year at Henry Ford and Intern of the Year at St. Joseph Mercy. He has a 5 out of 5 rating on WebMD. He specializes in Mohs surgery, cosmetic dermatology, laser treatment of burn scars and scarring, fractional CO2 laser, photobiomodulation, Botox, dermal fillers, Sculptra, and dermatologic surgery.
