Gretchen W. Frieling

Dr. Gretchen W. Frieling, MD, is a Harvard-trained, triple board-certified dermatopathologist and the founder of GFaceMD, a multimillion-dollar medical aesthetic practice with locations in Wellesley, Boston (South End), Cape Cod, and Andover, Massachusetts. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a BS in Biological Sciences, earned her MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine, completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She is one of the first pathology-trained dermatopathologists to open a nationally recognized aesthetic practice in the US. She is a pioneer in the use of ultrasound in medical aesthetics, specializing in ultrasound-guided procedures, vascular mapping, and complication management. She founded FACEit Live, the first-ever ultrasound and anatomy symposium of its kind, spanning over 8 countries. She is also the founder of GFace Academy and The Soyier Skin Collection. She is a global educator and trainer for Galderma (GAIN), Merz, SkinStylus, and Benev, and has been featured in Vogue, CNN, Oprah Magazine, Elle, Yahoo, NBC News, Shape, and more. She has over 50,000 Instagram followers and has authored numerous publications and textbook chapters. She takes a "less is more" approach to injectables. She specializes in Botox, dermal fillers, Kybella, ultrasound-guided procedures, AquaGold Fine Touch, microneedling, PRF treatments, chemical peels, and dermaplaning.
