Hoang Nguyen

Dr. Hoang M. Lawrence Nguyen, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Sanford Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, located at 1500 West 22nd Street, Suite 101, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105. He is also the Medical Director of Vivaz Medical Spa and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.

Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree with honors from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (2004). He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester and his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the South Dakota State Medical Association.

He is one of only two plastic surgeons in South and North Dakota to perform microvascular free flap breast reconstruction (DIEP flap) for breast cancer patients who undergo mastectomy. He performs over 600 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures annually. His specialties include facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring, breast surgery, fat grafting, microvascular reconstructive surgery, and transgender surgery.
