Jeffrey Thaxton

Dr. Jeffrey N. Thaxton, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Thaxton Plastic Surgery, located at 505 Capitol Street, Charleston, West Virginia 25301.

Dr. Thaxton grew up in Sissonville, West Virginia. He earned his BS in Chemistry (Cum Laude) from Marshall University (1988) and his MD from Marshall University School of Medicine (1992), where he was selected as the first Rural Medicine Program student. He completed a transitional year internship at Marshall (1992–1993), a general surgery residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine, and a plastic surgery residency at Columbia University's Department of Plastic Surgery in New York City. He also trained in Vail, Colorado with leading plastic surgeons.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (2006). He is one of only two practicing plastic surgeons in West Virginia elected to membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is affiliated with St. Francis Hospital in Charleston and Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston. He has a special interest in breast reconstruction and over 20 years of experience. He offers 3D imaging technology (Crisalix) for treatment visualization.
